NEW KITS
"If the door could be eliminated from Avro's Vulcan, doubtless a lot of taxpayers' money would be saved. But Frog Plastics can claim no such saving by omitting the door from their 1/96 scale kit of this V-bomber. A minor point, perhaps, but an open door with the ladder extended would make this already pleasing model a masterpiece. A chance for enterprising modellers to make their own doors ! (Frog, 12s. 6d.)

PLASTIKITICISMS
A critical comment by reader W. R. Matthews, with kit manufacturers' observations
Criticism may also be levelled against the fit of the parts in many kits, particularly wings to fuselages. In Frog's Avro Vulcan the wing tongues are nearly 1/16 in. too thick, and much laborious filing is necessary before they fit properly.
(The fact that the contributor's example had wing-tongues which were too thick is rather exceptional, as these parts usually fit perfectly.- -FROG)
